The Your Right to Democracy Party believes that the people of Britain deserve the right to make their views clear and should have the power to shape legislation through a genuinely democratic process.
We stand for a new system which allows you to have a say and a vote for Policies every day! Not just one day, every four years.
How the System works
- You put forward your ideas on Policies e.g. Do you want to come out of the European Union?
- 1000 supporters for each idea are needed through the individual’s personal promotion, to be able to proceed to a Government website for further support.
- The top ten or twenty of these ideas will be put forward for voting through a secure system of voting, initially by paper. Modern technology once it’s available to all, will enable this system to operate conveniently and democratically, from your own home.
- The existing Houses of Parliament TV channel will debate fairly and openly on each of the ideas and proposals, including any financial implementations.
- This empowers the informed public to vote and be fully involved in the decision making.
- The elected M.Ps will implement these decisions with a majority in the House of Commons. It will be very clear to the public how each M.P. voted on each proposal.
- This is a simple, effective system. It will result in direct input available to all political persuasions. Abuse of the current democratic system will cease in Parliament.

- Join our Hertfordshire Campaign by voting for the above candidates to be your M.P. and promote this simple effective System.
- Show the other Parties by voting overwhelmingly that this is the System of the future, for launching all Political Policies.
The Swiss have used a similar system of Direct Democracy since 1874. The Your Right to Democracy Party believes it is high time the people of Britain were given the right to decide how their country is governed.
